Term 4 Netball FAQs

​

1. Are there coaches?

No official coaches will be allocated to teams by N&DNA. Player parents will need to nominate a couple of helpers to assist with allocating positions and keeping score.

 

2. Are there finals?

No finals will be held during this season, but there will be a ladder for each division.

 

3. What team will I be in?

Teams will be allocated by age and friendship requests. If you wish to make up a team, you can email N&DNA once all players have registered at info@nambournetball.com.au.

 

4. When does the season start?

The Term 4 season begins on Wednesday, 7th October.

5. Where are the games played?

All games will be held at the Nambour Netball Association, 1 Laidlaw Rd, Woombye.

 

6. How long are the games?

Games run for 4 x 10-minute quarters, with a short break at half time.

 

7. What age groups can register?

The competition is open to players aged 10–18 years.

 

8. Can boys play?

Yes. A maximum of 3 male players per team can be on the court at any one time, and they must be spread across the court thirds.

 

9. Do I need to register individually or as a team?

Both options are available. You can register individually and be placed in a team, or register individually then email N&DNA to advise the player list for a full team.

 

10. What if I don’t know anyone?

Don’t worry! N&DNA will place you in a team in your correct age group and make sure you’re matched with players of a similar level.

 

11. What uniform do I need?

Teams can organise their own playing tops, but all players must wear sports shoes and comfortable activewear. Bibs will be supplied.

 

12. How much does it cost to play?

$100 for the season. This may be higher if your child has not played in a Netball Qld comp in 2026. In that case, an additional amount will be added to your registration for NQ insurance at the check out. All fees must be paid before Round 1 to confirm your spot.

13. What happens if it rains?

Games usually go ahead in light rain, but if there’s severe weather, cancellations will be announced via N&DNA’s Facebook page and email.

14. My child isn't old enough yet, can they still play?

We have a competition for players aged 8-10 years. It's during term 4 and on Monday afternoons. See more about the Term 4 Moddies Comp here.

15. Are Play On vouchers accepted for this program?

Yes. Play On vouchers are accepted for this program. You can enter details during the registration process. Note that the registration amount is less than $200, so if you use a Play On voucher you will forfeit the remaining balance on your voucher.
